Patch size changes everything
A design that looks perfect on a screen may be too detailed for a small patch. Choosing the right size helps text stay readable and artwork stay clean.
Common size ranges
- 2 to 3 pouces: hats, small sleeve patches, small logos.
- 3 to 4 pouces: chest patches, uniforms, clubs, bags.
- 4 to 6 pouces: jacket patches, larger brand marks, event patches.
- 6 pouces and above: back patches and statement pieces.
Small text needs space
If your design includes small lettering, either increase the patch size or simplify the artwork. Woven and printed patches can handle finer detail than traditional embroidery.
