Backing affects how your patch is used
The front of the patch controls the look. The backing controls how it attaches, how long it stays in place, and how easy it is to move or replace.
Sew-on backing
Sew-on is the strongest and most traditional option. It is best for uniforms, jackets, bags, hats, and any item that will be washed or worn often.
Iron-on backing
Iron-on backing is fast and convenient for compatible fabrics. It is popular for DIY apparel, promotional items, and smaller runs.
Velcro backing
Velcro is ideal for tactical gear, uniforms, morale patches, and interchangeable name or role patches. It allows the patch to be removed or swapped quickly.
Adhesive backing
Stick-on backing works best for temporary uses, packaging, events, displays, and non-washable surfaces. It is not the best choice for permanent garment attachment.
